I Bike Tyler is a series where we put a face on Tyler cycling. We are looking for all perspectives on riding from all types of riders (scroll down to get links to their stories).
You could send us a simple bio and a short write-up about your view on cycling. OR, you can provide us with answers the following questions:
• Name?
• How long have you been riding? Did you just start cycling, picked it back up or have you been riding for years?
• How often do you ride?
• What’s your favorite route? Give us some tips on where the best riding is.
• Why do you cycle?
• What is your perspective on riding – in general or in Tyler? Why is cycling great? Why is it great in Tyler?
If you would like:
• Tell us about your bikes. How many? What types? What’s your favorite?
We would also love a pic of you (with your bike would be great).
You can send in your answers by email to Bike Friendly Tyler Email
• Name?
William Ritter

9 years (started riding to class in college, then riding to Burger King, then to work, then joined a group for cross training and started racing triathlon)
• How often do you ride? Mostly everyday, commuting or training.
• What’s your favorite route? Give us some tips on where the best riding is.
I work off Old Jacksonville Hwy, for training I head south to Bullard, then east towards Lake Tyler or to Jacksonville.
• Why do you cycle? I feel much better when cycling then if I don’t.
• What is your perspective on riding – in general or in Tyler? Why is cycling great? Why is it great in Tyler? Tyler is growing really fast with people getting into fitness which is really awesome, we have a lot of back roads to get a lot of real good riding in the countryside.

Personally, I have 3 bikes (Road/TT/MTB) I like them all but I like my TT bike for training and racing and my mountain bike for fun riding the trails and commuting on.
We would also love a pic of you (with your bike would be great).
We have cycle routes. Thanks to City of Tyler.
